etribes Life (beta)
Published December 3rd, 2005 in Review
Today I had a chance to sign up on etribes Life beta version.
The site describes itself as:
etribes Life is a FREE service from etribes that offers a wealth of simple, useful and fun personal publishing features that anyone can use. The service is designed to help you take your life online, hence the name.
etribes Life enables you to publish your news, ideas, photos, events, adverts etc. onto the web, quickly and easily, without any technical knowledge. Whether you want a website, a blog, a personal profile, a photo album, a calendar or simply an advert - etribes Life provides you with a personal web-space that you can meet your needs.
By signing up for your account, you create your own website, publish your content and tell your friends. It’s as simple as that!
I played a little bit with the admin tool but at the moment it’s pretty empty. The user interface is exactly the same as the default one in Drupal. This is normal since it’s the tool they are using to build this new service.

On Tuesday 6th December, etribes is officially launching the 1st beta version of etribes Life. If you want to better know the product and perhaps see some exclusive features, you could join them at the party they are organising after Les Blogs 2.0 conference.

i`ll add another comment after i test it …..
Thanks for the feedback so far… keep it coming!
etribes Life is aimed at people who want to publish their news, events, photos, adverts etc. but don’t know what a blog is - so yes - it’s simple.
We are spending more time stripping out functions than we are adding them - but we be including some more ‘content types’ shortly…
We’ll also be linking up with etribes Groups and etribes Local (to be launched in 2006).
oh - and a feedback forum …!

Thanks for the update Luke. Let’s hope you can make a nice tool with Drupal and add some great features in 2006.
And thanks for the party… Before that I’ve never been at that bar, even if I’m living in Paris.
